What if we called it “afternoon tea” instead?
Yes, that's exactly it:
the elegant English custom par excellence.
You'll immediately think of glamorous ladies in sumptuous dresses sipping tea from beautifully decorated porcelain cups. But Afternoon Tea is so much more. Sweet pastries, the ever-present scones, tantalizing finger sandwiches, steaming cups of tea, and delicious blends.
Every day from 3pm to 6pm, reservations are required on weekends.
Mind the Map
A few simple rules to enjoy Afternoon Tea like a true Briton:
- we start from the bottom of the stand, that is, from the sandwiches
- Then the scones are prepared by first spreading the cream and then the jam
- everything is eaten strictly with the hands without a fork, knife that is only used to spread cream and jam, or a teaspoon in the cup you pour the milk first and then the tea and stir it with the teaspoon making an up and down movement and not a circular one
